Lukas Melisse started in the midst of the credit crisis as a freelancer at Plink in The Hague. He then got the opportunity to buy out first one, and then the second owner. In the conversation, Lukas explains how these discussions go and what is involved in a takeover.

I was born, raised, and have always lived in Dordrecht. I studied Real Estate & Real estate agent in Rotterdam from 2008 to 2012. I took a bit longer with Havo, so when I went to HBO, I took it more seriously, allowing me to finish at the same time as my former classmates.
“Blood was running through the streets at that time.”
That was not the best time to start: blood was running through the streets of the real estate agency. But it was also a good time to learn the profession.
