Den Bosch is a city located in the south of The Netherlands. 'S-Hertogenbosch is the official name of the city, but everyone uses the name Den Bosch: it is a lot shorter and easier. Den Bosch is a city with more than 110.000 thousand residents. Den Bosch is full of churches and other historic buildings. The city is known for the yearly tradition called 'carnaval'. Every year people dress up in crazy costumes and party all day and night long for a couple of days. During carnaval there are always festive parades traveling through the city.

The city 's-Hertogenbosch is known for a special delicacy called a 'Bossche Bol'. A Bossche Bol is a round and thin piece of batter with whipped cream inside it. The Bossche Bol is being put in liquid chocolate and then it is ready to eat. It is a must try when you visit Den Bosch. A place where they make one of the most delicious Bossche Bollen ever, is the bakery Jan de Groot. It is close to the trainstation of 's-Hertogenbosch. Between the bakery and the trainstation, stands a popular fountain. It is called the Dragon Fountain or 'Drakenfontein' in Dutch. It has a big golden dragon on top of it.

Den Bosch is located in the province Noord-Brabant. Residents of Brabant are known for their directly behavior, sociability and partying. 'S-Hertogenbosch has a historical city centre and is pretty busy. It is great to live on your own or a with whole family. Den Bosch also offers nature outside the city. Het Bossche Broek and De Moerputten are two beautiful nature reserves to relax and exercise.
