Transportation is mostly by bike, bus or by foot in Groningen. Groningen has a beautiful train station to get you around the country. Keep in mind that Groningen is in the North of The Netherlands. It can be a far trip to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and other big cities. The province or county Groningen has a lot of calm and green places to live. The people outside the big city are mostly farmers.
